The Laser Application Forum "LAF" is a get together of the laser users. Every two years users and manufacturers, Service providers, experts and decision-makers come together in Bremen in the north of Germany. There will be a communicative mood at the accompanying exhibition as well as at the exhibitors' and sponsors' evening. Topics from current research are also offered: short lectures so-called 'flash talks' offer insights into current research topics and BIAS - Bremen Institute for Applied Beam Technology opens its laboratories for an open house event. (The lectures and flashtalks are held in German, unfortunately there will be no synchronous translation this year.) Scientists from BIAS present insights into laser beam joining, microproduction, optical metrology as well as surface Engineering as well as additive manufacturing.
